Outline of Japan Inspection Organization
The JIO (Japan Inspection Organization) has
nationwide network for inspecting Automobiles and Heavy
Machinery. JIO conduct pre-shipment inspection of both new
and used vehicles. JIO has ability for inspection of second hand
Japanese and non-Japanese cars. The accuracy of JIO's strict
inspection is trusted by Japanese cars importers in all over
the world. The JIO inspection system is essential to ensure
overall condition of vehicle is roadworthy and the car is
properly maintained by the last owner.
Radiation inspection of exporting vehicles
The radioactive leakage from the Fukushima Daiichi
Nuclear Power Plant after Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11,
2011, some cases are reported where exports arrived in foreign
countries from Japan are subjected to radiation inspection or
required to be accompanied by a radiation inspection
certificate.
To prevent excessive safeguards taken by
other governments, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of
Japan is explaining the safety of Japanese products. At the same
time, METI advised to the exporters from Japan to carefully watch
regulatory developments in destination countries.
JIO
conduct the "Radiation inspection" to ensure the safety of
vehicle schedule to export from Japan is less than 0.3 micro sievert
per hour scale, set by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure,
and Transport of
Japan. |
